Jay Leno lusts after Peter Mullin’s 1937 Talbot-Lago Type 150 CS

Peter Mullin of The Mullin Automotive Museum stops by with his teardrop coupe – which many say is the most beautiful car of all time.

Jay Leno surely has one of the most enviable car collections in California, if not the world. But when it comes to the Art Deco cars of the 1930s, Peter Mullin has the last word. He’s the patron behind the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, and the owner of some of the most beautiful examples of rolling sheetmetal the world has ever seen. Like this lovely 1937 Talbot-Lago Type 150 CS, for example.

So for the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the car-obsessed talk show host brought Mullin over for a visit, and along with him, the classic teardrop Talbot. It’s not only a gorgeous piece of machinery and a singular example of its era, but a technological marvel for its day. Hear its story and listen to it purr in the video above.
